Hola Amigos,

Arrived safe and sound in not so sunny Panama after a gruelling 26 hours of travelling. Not much doing here but did manage to find a boozer to watch the footie and randomly the tennis. Good to see Andy is through to the next round :)

Went to see the canal this morning, pretty impressive stuff. Managed to see a boat leaving the lock but missed most of the activity as were traipsing round the shanty towns looking for the bus stop. Ended up just getting a cab after the police suggested that it wasn´t very safe to be wandering around...just as well i brought my mace :) Don´t worry Mum haven´t had to use it yet!

Very hot and humid at the moment. Have managed to avoid the rain but our luck is not going to hold out for long. Off to a town called David tomorrow then onto the mountains in Boquete region. Meant to be good for climbing the volcano and trekking:))
